Wiring schedule
Every run on the boat, one line each: where it goes, how much current it carries, what gauge and colour it needs, how long it is, and what protects it. This is the sheet your electrician actually works from.

Lay out your batteries, chargers, panels, and circuits in one place. WireEngine checks the design as you go, sizes the wire and fuses for you, and produces the full set of documents you need to buy the parts, do the install, and show a surveyor.
A finished electrical design is more than a drawing. From one design, WireEngine produces every document the job needs, and keeps them all in step when something changes.
Every run on the boat, one line each: where it goes, how much current it carries, what gauge and colour it needs, how long it is, and what protects it. This is the sheet your electrician actually works from.
A clear system drawing of what connects to what, drawn from the design rather than by hand. Change a circuit and the drawing updates with it, so it never drifts out of date.
Wire by gauge and length, fuses and breakers by rating, terminals, busbars and switches, all counted from the design. Order once, with nothing missing and nothing bought twice.
A step-by-step list for the install itself, in a sensible order, with the things that are easy to forget called out: fuse placement, negative returns, labelling, what stays live when a switch is off.
A plain-language manual for your boat's system: how it's laid out, what each switch does, what the charge settings are and why. Written from the design, so it describes the boat you actually have.
A review-ready summary of what was checked, what passed, and what is still open. Hand it to a surveyor, an insurer, or a buyer and let them see the work rather than take your word for it.
There is no form to fill in and no fixed order of steps. Real designs come together in pieces, so WireEngine lets you add what you know, when you know it, and tells you what's still missing.
Pick a proven reference design and adapt it, describe your boat in a sentence and choose from a few complete starting points, or start with a blank canvas. Most people start from something and change it.
Add a battery bank, a charger, a windlass, a fridge, a run of wire. Leave anything you don't know yet blank. The canvas shows what's done, what's pending, and what it's waiting on, such as a run length.
Take the tape measure aboard. The moment you enter a run length, the wire gauge and fuse rating for that run resolve on the spot, and every document updates to match.
On a boat, an undersized wire or a fuse that doesn't protect its cable isn't a cosmetic error. Electrical faults are the leading cause of onboard fires, and they hide until the worst moment. WireEngine checks the design continuously against the ABYC marine electrical standards and shows you a running list of anything that needs attention.
Every run is sized for the current it carries and the distance it runs, so nothing overheats and nothing at the far end starves for voltage. Critical circuits like bilge pumps and navigation get the tighter limit.
Each fuse or breaker is checked to make sure it actually protects the wire behind it and sits close enough to the battery to matter. A fuse that's too big or too far away is flagged with the reason.
Wire colours, a single negative return, bilge pumps that stay on when the main switch is off, what remains live with each switch open. The things that get a boat failed on survey, checked before you build it.
Every finding names the clause it comes from and says whether it is a requirement or a recommendation, so you can look it up yourself or hand it to a professional. WireEngine won't tell you your boat is “compliant”. It tells you exactly what has been checked, what passed, what is still open, and where a domain belongs with a marine electrician. That honesty is the point.
Every gauge, fuse rating, and charge setting in your design comes from one of three places: a standard's table, a manufacturer's document, or you. Each value shows which, and you can check it.
Device details such as fuse ratings, terminal sizes, and charge profiles are drawn from a curated database of manufacturer specifications, each with its source. Anything WireEngine can't confirm is marked UNVERIFIED — confirm against the manual and stays on your open-items list until you confirm it. You always know what has been verified and what still needs a look, and nothing gets quietly made up to fill a gap.
By the time your design exists, WireEngine already knows what's aboard. That becomes the record you run the boat from.
Every spare, consumable, and tool aboard, with a quantity and a named locker you can see on a plan of the boat. Ask “where are the spare impellers?” and get an answer, by typing or by voice.
Service intervals, engine hours, and a running history of what was done and when. Replace a charger or a battery bank and the design re-checks itself and the documents update to match.
Your design set, plus the manufacturer manuals you add for the gear you actually have, searchable in one place from your phone. No more hunting through a locker of damp paperwork.
Design at the desk with the full canvas. Aboard, use your phone for measuring, looking things up, and finding spares. One account, one boat, both screens.
Ask why the engine won't start and get a diagnosis that knows your boat: this engine, this filter, this last service date. Every fact in the answer comes with its source.
Run many boats at once and keep your own proven designs in a private library to start the next job from. Less time per boat, and a clear record of every decision.
You're adding lithium, solar, an inverter, or rewiring a tired boat, and you want to get it right the first time. WireEngine gives you a design you understand and a parts list you can trust.
Arrive at the yard with a clear, checked design instead of a sketch. Your electrician spends their hours installing, not interpreting, and you both work from the same documents.
A package that states what was checked and what remains open, in the standard's own terms. Review the work rather than reconstruct it.
WireEngine is in active development, marine-first, with the design engine, the checks, and the document set working today. If you're designing or rewiring a boat, or you're a marine electrician who wants a tool that shows its work, we'd like to hear from you.
